EasyXAFS 300+
The easyXAFS300+ system is a lab-scale device capable of performing high-resolution x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and x-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) to probe the elemental, chemical state, and structural properties of samples.
Typically, users travel to beamline facilities at DoE national labs to make these types of measurements. The XAFS system in the MCF was the first lab-based XAFS instrument installed in a university in the US.
The system can obtain high resolution spectra for nearly all absorption edges and emission lines within the energy range of 4.5 to 13keV.
