UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH

To inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers, the Institute for Matter and Systems provides internship opportunities to undergraduate students. The Research Experience for Undergraduate’s (REU) summer internship program provides undergraduate students from two- and four-year programs the chance to perform cutting-edge research at the forefront of nanoscale science and engineering. The Technical College Internship Program places undergraduates in the Biocleanroom and the Materials Characterization Facility.

Technical College Internships

To engage undergraduates in the field of nanotechnology research and engineering, the SENIC team offers two paid technical college internship positions during the spring semester. Students must be enrolled in a technical college within commuting distance of Georgia Tech. One student is selected to intern in the Biocleanroom and one student is selected to intern in the Materials Characterization Facility.
