Are you capturing stunning visuals in your research? Show off your creativity and scientific artistry in the IMS Image Contest, open to all users of the IMS core facilities! 

Whether it's microscopy, imaging, or other visual data generated through IMS resources, we want to see the beauty behind the science. Winning entries will be featured in IMS communications and displayed across our platforms. We are accepting submissions for the following categories: Most Creative, Most Beautiful, Most Technically Impressive, Best Use of Cleanroom Tools, Best Use of MCF Tools.  

Submission Guidelines: 

  • Open to all IMS core facility users
  • Submit high-resolution images with a brief description
  • Images must be generated using IMS equipment or services
  • Submissions close November 7
  • Voting will open to the public November 14 

Prizes & Recognition

  • Winner of each category will be showcased in IMS newsletters, social media, and the Marcus Nanotechnology Building

Contest Rules: 

  1. Images should not be previously published
  2. Images should be print quality JPG where possible 
  3. Images may be used by GT and/or its departments for promotional purposes. Your submission implies you have full author rights to submitted images and agree to give consent to IMS/GT for use of images.
  4. Images are shared under Creative Commons Attribution license
  5. Photo enhancement -is- allowed, (e.g. coloration, added artistic touches, etc.) but the original image details should not be altered
  6. Users may submit to multiple categories, but only one entry per person per category.
