Soft Matter Infrastructure Symposium
Building a national network of open-access shared instrumentation facilities for characterization and fabrication of soft materials. An initiative to provide a map of sophisticated instrumentation, technical staff, and vendor database to support nanoscale and mesoscale soft matter research.
Soft Matter Infrastructure Symposium
Building upon the success of the Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network, planning has begun between UNC-CH, NCSU, Duke, and the University of Kansas to create a community formed around soft-matter infrastructure across our region and beyond. On June 10th, we will be hosting a virtual kick-off from 12pm – 2:10pm and we’d be delighted if you and interested members in your group can join us. The agenda is attached and can also be found here. There is no cost to attend.
The program includes:
- overviews of facilities across the U.S.
- Break-out rooms with open discussion on facilities best practices and management, unmet needs to service user research, and academy- industry engagement (collaborations, technology transfer, and scale-up.)
Register here and contact Cynthia Corley or Bob Geil with any questions. Please also consider joining our LinkedIn group here to continue the conversation after the symposium.
